Mary Quant is an iconic English fashion designer known for her youthful and fun brand, signified by the trademark daisy. She is also known for her mini skirts and short shorts.

At STROMA Films, we created a short promo film for this fantastic exhibition.

Scottish Chamber Orchestra

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO) is based in Edinburgh and is internationally celebrated.  They aim to provide as many opportunities as possible for people to hear live orchestral music by touring the length and breadth of Scotland and worldwide as proud ambassadors for Scottish cultural excellence. In recent years, the SCO has travelled throughout Europe, the Far East, India and the USA.

STROMA Films & The Scottish Chamber Orchestra

We were delighted when the SCO commissioned us to create a profile film to introduce their new principal conductor, Maxim Emelyanychev. We met up with him as he prepared for his debut performance of Haydn’s The Seasons at the Usher Hall.

After that film, we went on to create a further 2 featured artist films about François Leleux and Pekka Kuusisto.

The films can be viewed on our website or on the SCO's website - Max Emelyanychev.

Firefighter Ian's Story

Scottish firefighter, Ian McDonald had been with the fire service for 10 years. He was taking part in a training exercise in March 2014 when his hand was pierced by a high-pressure jet of hydraulic fluid.
He had 40 operations after the toxic liquid destroyed the tissue in his right hand but after a 4-year battle doctors were forced to amputate.
This film tells the story of how the amputation impacted Ian’s life and the part Digby Brown played to help with his recovery.
